Attached is a Mizzou vs Tennessee gameday guide for folks who purchased tickets to the Tennessee game.
People can still buy tailgate ticket to the Tennessee game through Wednesday at noon at www.mizzou.com/2014TailgateTN. There will be a limited number of tailgate tickets available at the door, but on a first-come first-served basis, so encourage anyone planning to go to the tailgate the day of to arrive early to ensure they can get in.
In regards to places to stay, we direct everyone to Knoxville’s chamber of commerce website, which is listed on the registration page (http://www.visitknoxville.com/).
At Noon on Saturday, Oct 11th, the Cincinnati Mizzou Alumni chapter and Georgia Alumni chapter will jointly come together at The FireHouse Grill ( 4785 Lake Forest Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45242) to watch the game between these two SEC-East Powerhouse Teams. Let’s be sure to represent our Tigers and not be drowned out by the rowdy Georgia crew. :)
Besides the game, we will also ask that attendees bring a non-perishable food or personal-care item for a Matthew 25 charity donation.
Interested? Please RSVP to Eric Jasso at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Come out to your local watch party this Saturday and watch the Tigers
as they take on South Carolina, their first SEC opponent of the season.
Don’t miss your chance to cheer on Mizzou during ESPN College Gameday!
Mizzou vs. South Carolina
Saturday, September 27
With many of us attending the game in person at Toledo this weekend, we will NOT be doing a watch party. Enjoy the game from Toledo, home, or your favorite spot…and go MIZZOU!!
What a great way to start our year together! The kickoff event at The Firehouse Grill had ~ 40 attendees from 1 year of age to over 85 years young! From recent attendees and grads to those who have been involved with us for a while. Plus, as an added bonus, Anne Case-Halferty (Assistant Director, Alumni Engagement, Mizzou Alumni Association) came in from Columbia, MO, to be with us…and pay for our appetizers and bring give-aways (Thank you very much, Anne!)!
We also received over 20 responses to our “interest survey”. Here is a quick summary of what you want us to look at doing…
- Football watch parties and caravans (especially Tennessee game)
- Basketball watch parties
- Tigers Saving Tigers
- Informal Social Gatherings
- Tigers on the Town
- Other ideas offered up include a “gear” sale (shirts, etc.), involving Dayton area more, B&B River Cruise, and Valley Vineyards event.
- Interest in Steering Board (Eric and Lindsay were interested in being part of the core/steering team. Yeah!!
Let’s keep that Tiger Spirit going! We’ll see you at the Mizzou Football Watch Parties at The Firehouse Grill each week and many of us tailgating in Toledo. The steering team will then start planning the rest of the events and activities out…so stay tuned for more to come!
